Janis Raguin holds a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Holistic Specialization from Lesley University, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.  She has worked for several years in schools and more recently in community counseling programs providing both individual and family therapy. 

Janis strives to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe, understood, and unconditionally accepted. Her special interest is helping individuals find personal growth while empowering them to overcome difficulties. She uses a strengths-based perspective while drawing from several clinical approaches depending on presenting issues, mental health diagnoses, and each individual's needs and preferences. In addition to traditional therapeutic approaches, Janis utilizes play and expressive therapies when working with children and families. She currently works with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
